01 · Origins

Ten years old, no English, no papers.

I was born in Colombia and came to the United States when I was ten. No English. No papers. No instruction manual for how any of this worked. My parents worked constantly — they still don't speak English and still don't have papers — and the entire job of figuring out the American system fell on me.

I almost didn't graduate high school. I wasn't a bad kid; I was just dropped into a system nobody at home could help me read.

02 · Amber

The person who changed everything.

I met my wife Amber fifteen years ago. She is the reason I learned how to actually be an American — paying taxes, navigating the system, building a life. We have two daughters. Everything I do, I do because of them.

In 2020 we moved to North Carolina with nothing. Zero money. Just hopes.

03 · The barbershop

Exclusive Barbershop, Charlotte.

I started working at Exclusive Barbershop in Charlotte. Cuts and braids. I worked hard, but I also started filming. Posting. Trying things. I didn't yet understand what social media was — what it meant to go viral, to build a niche, to make something recognizable.

Then I started growing. TikTok hit 9.7 million. YouTube hit 5 million. Instagram crossed 1.7 million. Snapchat and Facebook added more. Suddenly I wasn't a barber who posted. I was a creator who happened to braid hair.

04 · The fall

2023. The accident.

I flipped a Can-Am and it landed on my left hand. I couldn't braid. I couldn't cut. For fifteen months I couldn't work. I lost financially. I lost emotionally. I lost physically. Life tested me.

During that time I gave myself to God. I started going to church. I started rebuilding from the inside out. Eventually I taught my hand to braid again — but it didn't feel the same. I was chasing the old me. I needed a new chapter.

05 · IKM Media

New Year's Day, 2026.

I started IKM Media on January 1, 2026. The thing I had always wanted, before I even knew what social media was, was to be a director. Back on Long Island I used to walk into restaurants and shoot clean, honest videos of food — just because I loved making them. I just didn't yet understand virality, brand, or niche.

Now I do. And I bring all of it — the directing, the storytelling, the strategy, the platform-building — into every business we sign. We shoot two full days a week at our clients' locations. We strategize, edit, and post the other four. We run their analytics monthly. We push their content through my personal accounts so they get reach no other agency can give them.

We charge what we charge because we deliver something almost nobody else can deliver: a former creator with 15M+ followers, doing the work himself, with a small team, for a small number of clients at a time.

06 · What's next

Building a family business.

My goal is to bring Amber into IKM Media full time. She currently works as a behavioral analyst for kids with autism, which is its own calling. But the dream is to run this together — her on the operations side, me on the creative side, growing our daughters up watching their parents build something honest.

That's the whole point. The agency works because the life works.

— What we're built on

Faith.

I rebuilt my life on it after the accident. It's not a brand decoration here — it's the reason there's a brand at all.

Family.

Amber, our two daughters, and the team. Everything we ship has to be worth being away from them to make.

The work.

We pick up cameras Monday mornings. We deliver every week. We answer the phone. There is no hidden trick — there's just the work.
